This article covers the steps necessary to change the name server
records for domain names registered with OpenSRS/Tucows. This
information should be used when updating your domain name to point to
your account at HostBuddy.com. The information was gathered from the
OpenSRS/Tucows web site FAQs.
- Go to https://manage.opensrs.net/
- Enter your domain name, username and password
- Click on the "Manage Name Servers" section and at the bottom of the page
- Remove your existing name server information and replace it with:
- NS1.SITE4NOW.NET
- NS2.SITE4NOW.NET
- NS3.SITE4NOW.NET
- Both name servers are required
- Click Save Configuration

Name server updates typically take 12 to 24 hours, though in some cases
the propagation of the change can take up to 72 hours. Site users may
report problems accessing your site at HostBuddy.comt during this
time. Until propagation is complete, requests to your domain name may
point to your previous host.
If do not remember your OpenSRS/Tucows username and password your
OpenSRS Reseller can email the login information to the admin contact
or owner contact email address on file. If the Admin Contact/Owner
Contact email addresses are invalid for any reason, you will have to
complete an email contact change via fax. The fax requirements vary
depending on your tld type. The web site
http://www.adminchange.com
provides full details on fax requirements and specific forms that you
will need send. In general, when the domain is registered to an
individual, you will need to fax a photocopy of government issued photo
ID (Drivers License, Passport etc). Be sure to include the signature
side, the domain name, and the new admin contact email address.
